Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare drywall surfaces by removing old paint, wallpaper, or damaged areas
- Apply drywall compound to fill cracks, holes, and seams
- Smooth and level the surface using hand tools and sandpaper
- Install corner beads and tape joints to create a seamless finish
- Repair any imperfections or damage to the drywall surface
- Ensure all work is completed according to industry standards and project specifications
- Clean up work area and dispose of debris properly
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques
- Experience in the restoration industry or as a maintenance person is preferred
- Proficient in door hanging, building, masonry, plastering, frame carpentry, and fixture installation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project instructions
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
