My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of a new hospital project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in healthcare construction and the importance of minimizing disruptions to ongoing medical services.

Description

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and healthcare facility representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and compliance with OSHA standards and healthcare-specific safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee the implementation of infection control measures and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate communication between the construction team and healthcare facility staff to minimize disruptions to ongoing medical services.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively, maintaining a focus on project goals and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in healthcare construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse construction teams.
  • Strong understanding of infection control procedures and the importance of minimizing disruptions in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
