Position Summary:

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Assist with minor repair and maintenance throughout the Club and as directed by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing troubleshooting and repair of Club facilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and adjust.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and Club facilities. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations with proper supervision.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance, electrical, and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Required to wear safety equipment provided by the Club when necessary.
• Ensures that pool pumps are working efficiently.
• Performs pool maintenance by checking chlorine, acid, and water level.
• Performs general visual inspection of pool area including furniture and restrooms.
• Assemble, install, and repair lighting throughout the Club.
• Inspects sink faucets and lighting in the restrooms at the Golf Courses, Fitness Center, and Locker rooms.
• Performs other maintenance duties as apparent and necessary.
• Performs touch-up work of any kind as directed including painting.
• Assist with the transporting of storage items such as boxes and equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Routinely purchases supplies for the R&M Department as instructed by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.

Requirements:

• Basic maintenance skills are necessary with knowledge of equipment.
• Equipment and the repairs in a building, restaurant surrounding.
• Must be able to use various tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• A high school diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma is preferred.
• 2 years work experience in the building maintenance industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
