Parts Counter

Hourly Pay: $22.00-$24.00.

Hours: Monday -Friday 7am-5pm (No Weekend)

Essential Functions:

  • Receive purchased material and checks PO against packing slip for accuracy.
  • Enter receiving and inventory information into the system.
  • Put material away after receipt.
  • Issue returns for unused material per SOP guidelines.
  • Return material to vendor or shipping parts out for repair, following SOP guidelines.
  • Performing cycle counts and reporting stock balance discrepancies to Manager for resolution.
  • Take inventory to identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.
  • Issue materials to client as required.
  • Locates stock and delivers items to their destination outside of storeroom upon request.
  • Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Cleans and organizes storeroom as directed, including sweeping, scraping, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Some areas of the workplace may be hazardous and/or dirty; proper safety protective gear should be worn as needed.
  • Answering the phone and speaking with customers and employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Reports to: Parts Manager

Expected Hours of Work:

The Bobcat is open 5 days per week (M - F). Times will vary throughout the year, but retail hours are M-F (7am to 5pm).

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in automotive or construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have the ability to manage heavy phone volume with great data entry skills while paying close attention to details.
  • Have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an elevated level of competence with computer related programs.
  • Be professional and hard working with a customer-friendly approach to service.
  • Be comfortable working in a team setting.
  • Must be able to learn company designated software within a reasonable amount of time allotted.
