Our category-leading food manufacturing client is seeking a Maintenance and Engineer Manager for their facility in the Topeka, KS area. They offer an extensive benefit package, salary range of $105K - $125K, a $15K - $20K target bonus, and relocation benefits for the ideal candidate. Job responsibilities include:
· Responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, electrical and controls systems
· Work with engineers and production team members to make upgrades to production machinery
· Coach/mentor facility maintenance team members and maintenance processes
· Participate in the planning, direction, and driving of continuous improvement of all processes
· Drive the implementation of Reliability Excellence as the Reliability Excellence PM Pillar Owner for the facility to maximize plant performance using PM, PdM, work order systems, etc.
· Provide leadership and coaching for maintenance team leaders and maintenance team
· Accountable for monthly facility maintenance spend
· Responsible for asset management including maximizing utilization, replacement, upgrading, maintenance, and tracking
· Develop and instill a culture of teamwork, safety, innovation, and customer services within the maintenance team as well as modeling these behaviors for other departments
· Lead strategic direction for all facility utilities including ammonia refrigeration systems, infrastructure, thermal processes, etc.
· Lead environmental program for the facility and be Incident Commander
· Partner with Global Engineering to ensure facility capital needs are achieved
· Facilitate and/or lead limited scope repair projects
· Build joint ownership of the facility and equipment by partnering with production, sanitation, shipping, etc. departments
· Ensure the success of maintenance planning/scheduling and inventory control functions to maximize effectiveness of the team
The following qualifications must be met to be considered for the position:
· BS/BA required; Engineering or related discipline preferred
· Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience required
· Minimum 5 years demonstrated ability in coaching/leading people to success required
· Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and thermal processes a big plus
· Knowledge of regulatory compliance including Safety, USDA, and EPA required
· Continuous improvement skills a big plus
