Configuration Manager

DESCRIPTION:
Boarhog LLC is seeking conscientious, energetic Configuration Manager to join our multi-disciplined team that is responsible for rapidly enhancing Navy tactical operations by developing advanced shipboard intelligence and warfare systems using open-architecture software and electromagnetic spectrum expertise to facilitate rapid and informed decisions. We deliver innovative, technology-fueled capabilities and solutions to support the most demanding missions being addressed by our nation's defense and intelligence community customers. We develop and deploy solutions in signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic warfare (EW), and cyberspace operations to support multi-domain operations. We deliver actionable intelligence through multi-source collection and analysis. We provide advanced research and development, engineering, and operational support to our customers. We enhance mission effectiveness through automated F2T2EA processes. We ensure secure operation in the face of cyber threats through data-centric monitoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
· Implement configuration management and release (hardware, production, logistics) tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
· Safeguard of valuable intelligence systems and data, ensuring positive mission outcomes.
· Review released engineering change requests and data to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
· Work closely with organizational stakeholders to ensure the proper configuration standards for hardware, software, and documentation assets.
· Implement configuration management processes and procedures according to the Configuration Management SOP
· Prepare and deliver monthly Change Control Board agenda for review, leads monthly meeting, and provides meeting minutes.
· Implement the configuration management processes and procedures according to the Configuration Management SOP.
· Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
· Implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures
· Management of the configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
· Assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
· Assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
· Define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
· Improve and optimize the CM process and tools.
EXPERIENCE:
· Familiar with Configuration Management standards including DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), MIL-HDBK-61 and ISO10007.
· Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST SP 800-53.
· A thorough knowledge of software and hardware configuration management principles and procedures is essential, as is an understanding of the systems development life cycle.
· Ability to read technical documentation and identify alignment and/or conflict with process requirements and policies. Be able to translate these findings into customer communications.
· Demonstrated understanding of Configuration Management (CM) processes and knowledge in cloud and software defined networking principles and technologies is preferred.
· Experience with DoD Defense Planning Guidance (DPG) Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
· Familiar with US Navy organizational structure.
· Experience in maintaining baselines using SAFe 6.0, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
· Knowledge of and/or experience with Configuration Manager Tools and Databases.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's and nine (9) years, Masters Degree and seven (7) years experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS:
· The position requires a Top-Secret clearance. As such, an acceptable candidate must:
- Be a US Citizen
- Possess an active TS clearance and be SCI Eligible
- Willing to have a CI Polygraph.
Boarhog's Facility Security Officer will request and receive the SCI Eligibility determination from vetting prior to Boarhog issuing a contingent offer letter.
