Board Of Child Care B W is Hiring a Director of Treatment Foster Care Near Baltimore, MD

What is this job?

The Director of Treatment Foster Care is responsible for oversight of all aspects of service delivery to clients as provided by professional staff, treatment foster parents, Caminos long term foster care parents and consultants. Serves as the Chief Program Administrator for the Treatment Foster Care program. Develops, implements, monitors, and documents systems to ensure that agency policies, programs procedures, and licensing and accreditation standards are met or exceeded. Assists with all primary functions of the program.

What does this job do specifically?

  • Participates in the staff development processes to ensure the achievement of program goals.
  • Works collaboratively with the Centralized Admission Coordinator to screen referrals for Treatment Foster Parents.
  • Works with Home Study Practitioners and supervises all aspects of the Home Study process.
  • Works collaboratively with the Assistant Program Director for Caminos to screen referrals for Caminos Long Term Foster Parents.
  • Reviews all serious incident reports and acts as the point of contact in CJAMS.
  • Serves as the point of contact with the Office of Licensing and Monitoring related to compliance.
  • Monitor the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of all services provided to clients (children, youth, birth and foster families).
  • Operationalizes the Agency’s Strategic Plan with an annual plan for Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Program offerings.
  • Creates a Foster Parent Recruitment Plan and ensures its effective implementation.


What experience and education do I need?

Required Education

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
  • Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
  • Four (4) years’ experience as a social worker/case worker or social work supervisor in a Treatment Foster Care setting.
  • Knowledge of treatment foster care programs and Maryland Department of Human Services.
  • The ability to provide clinical supervision, or obtain the necessary supervision credentials within six months of hire.


Other Job Requirements

  • Able to learn and effectively utilize different technology platforms.
  • Excellent computer use knowledge with Microsoft Windows 10 and 365 Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven effective time management, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to keep an electronic calendar (Outlook).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with children, foster parents and birth parents in a positive manner.
  • Ability to pass CPS/UII background check both prior to employment and per the schedule outlined by HR thereafter.
