We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager to join our Corporate Trust team. This role is located in New York as a hybrid role.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Independently manage a portfolio of US based Financial Institution clients or prospects, focusing on client satisfaction, relationship building and driving responsible, profitable business growth
• Perform in-depth industry research and maintain an understanding of the market environment, including short- and long-term trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments etc 
• Develop key account plans, and execute on sales strategy to hit new business revenue goals
• Generates leads from within existing client accounts or as a result of industry research, and prospecting. The candidate should be experienced in independently developing leads and initiating contact with prospects. 
• Closes new prospects or new client arrangements by structuring services (pricing, service terms, etc.) that achieve optimal terms for both the client and the firm.
• Work closely with related teams (Product Managers, Transaction Managers, Client Service) and other firm-wide resources (marketing, legal, compliance, etc.) to ensure all risk management/compliance activities relevant to business development and relationship management activities are conducted appropriately and meet our regulatory obligations

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• 7-10 years of total work experience
• Financial Services and ideally Corporate Trust direct experience preferred (or other Debt Capital Markets/Fixed Income experience) or experience in a related customer-facing role, 
• A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and Capital Markets industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
