We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, AI Product Management to join our AI Hub group. This role is in New York.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

As a member of BNY Mellon’s AI Hub, the primary focus will be to lead innovative, AI enabled solutions development as a product lead. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a key subject matter expert and thought leader with deep insights of applied artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)
  • Identify, formulate and structure impactful problem statements in close collaboration with business and function leaders. Define key success metrics.
  • Design innovative, quantitative solutions taking advantage of state-of-the-art capabilities as appropriate – ranging from statistical methods to advanced ML and AI techniques.
  • Serve as capital markets expert for a group of data science, quant and AI/ML practitioners developing solutions with predictive analytics and related capabilities 
  • Conduct research and analyses on applied AI/ML to synthesize insights that could inform solution design and development at BNY Mellon.
  • Monitor key AI/ML developments including innovations, competitor moves, regulation, deals and acquisitions
  • Develop and enhance BNY Mellon’s responsible AI framework and outline measures and strategies to address risk associated with the technology
  • Keep abreast of regulatory development. Effectively communicate actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Develop or contribute to thought leadership content for external publication (e.g., paper, podcasts, videos)

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Well-rounded understanding of capital markets
  • Advanced Degree in engineering, computer science, business, economics, marketing, analytics, or other related quantitative discipline; graduate degree preferred
  • Experience working in quant roles with AI/ML and data science expertise strongly preferred; familiarity with related innovations and other emerging technology in financial services a plus 
  • Track record of research and analysis synthesized in published thought leadership content 
  • Good understanding of business drivers, market structure, and trends in securities, institutional banking, or asset management industry is preferred
  • Strong core consulting skills - strategic thinker with strong analytics, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presenting ideas in an impactful manner for senior audiences
  • Ability to work effectively across the across stakeholders in functions and regions including building trusted partnership with and influencing senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to accomplish goals through others, including employees, peers, and other function/business areas of the company
  • Entrepreneurial and results oriented and takes initiative
