We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Compensation Experience reporting to the Head of Corporate Compensation to join our Compensation team within People Rewards. This position will be based in either our New York City office on a HYBRID schedule (3 days in office). 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Manage and execute compensation initiatives that are cross functional and global in nature.
  • Serve as a thought leader to identify and implement recommended changes to cross-functional compensation processes and programs.
  • In partnership with the Head of Corporate Compensation, lead the annual performance and rewards cycle, overseeing the end-to-end execution of year end processes.
  • Develop communications to enhance the understanding of the company’s compensation policies and total compensation package
  • Educate and equip key partners across the Global Compensation and People Team to support and champion compensation programs and ensure quality and consistency of program implementation and administration.
  • Support the design, implementation, development, and administration of core compensation programs, informed by best practices to support the Company’s overall strategic objectives.
  • Lead and oversee the updating of documenting core processes and procedures across the global compensation team.
  • Scope is limited to the quality and accurate completion of own work. 
  • Contributes to the achievement of country or regional goals.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Demonstrated experience in managing global compensation plans and processes, including compensation design and implementation
  • Ability to communicate with, partner and influence, key stakeholders and be able to explain complex matters clearly and simply.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint skills important
  • Effectively translates data into actionable insights.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $182,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
