OVERVIEW

BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking an experienced project accountant to join the team. The initial responsibility of this position includes assisting the Accounts Payable department with entering invoices and auditing input. Understanding and having experience with processing accounts payable and complex accounts receivable functions will be essential to the success of the process.

You will be part of a top-performing Accounting Department that works hard and has fun. You will report to an experienced Accounting Supervisor who is an expert in the industry. You will contribute to the company’s growth and profitability while building strong relationships with both the internal teams and external customers. (This role is located full-time onsite, not remote.) 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable

• Performs non-routine and moderately complex accounts payable
• Manages vendor accounts

Accounts Receivable

• Performs non-routine and moderately complex accounts receivable
• Posts sales and revenue.

Data Management

• Responsible for accurate and timely data entry, records management and reporting for BMWC Western division.
• Generates, reviews, and distributes weekly reports to designated recipients.
• Ensure data retention and information systems are updated and maintained appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration desired
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in similar accounting role
• Strong service orientation, problem-solving, flexibility and professionalism
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and clients – including differing skill sets, education, and experience
• Excellent organization skills and time management
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment
• Able to use 10-key calculator by touch
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products; technical aptitude to learn internal systems and required packages
• Previous ERP or accounting software implementation experience preferred
• Previous work experience in the construction industry preferred
