Event Specialist

The Event Specialist will manage and support tradeshows and events (virtual and in-person) that Blume Global attends and hosts.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, a successful event specialist will enhance Blume Global's visibility and favorable company image and support lead generation through tradeshow and event management initiatives.

This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing seamless events across the business throughout the year that support Blume Global's mission and strategy.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Manage all tradeshow / event-related and customer events as required, including webinars and virtual events
• Develop show / event strategies that are reflective of sales and marketing goals
• Develop and manage the tradeshow and event budget
• Develop and manage the annual user conference budget
• Negotiate event discounts on behalf of the company and identify areas for cost-savings
• Coordinate collaboration across areas of the business for unified and consistent event presence and strategy
• Manage show / event vendor relationships with hotels and convention centers, partners and event hosts
• Manage Company's promotional items related to tradeshows and events
• Ensure timely execution and production of key deliverables (including registrations, reservations, booths, promotional items, etc.)
• Lead the management of Blume Global's annual user conference
• Key Performance Indicators include : event ROI, event cost management, event attendance

This position has a requirement for travel (30% on average, travel permitting). International travel may also be required.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University is required or equivalent
• 2 years Marketing Event / Tradeshow experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Detail oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• High ethical and moral standards
• Skilled planner / organizer with ability to prioritize and manage time well
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High energy and positive attitude
• Ability to take initiative
• Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude
• Working knowledge of how to use key business applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications :

• Masters degree in marketing or a related field a plus
• Supply chain, logistics or transportation industry or B2B technology industry experience preferred
• Experience with industry events (Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, NRF, etc.) a plus
