Position Overview:

Bluestone Physician Services is searching for an outgoing Medical Scribe to join a dynamic and fast-paced primary care team traveling to the communities throughout the Vadnais Heights, Hugo, Roseville, White Bear Lake, Little Canada & Blaine, Minnesota areas. Our physician led team delivers on-site care to geriatric patients who reside in senior living residences.

• Full time position, daytime hours, no evenings, weekends or holidays. Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday thru Thursday & 8am to 3pm on Fridays (patient-facing in the field).

As a Medical Scribe you will provide ongoing support to the physician; performing documentation, gathering information for patient visits, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care.

This role offers exciting one-on-one collaboration with a physician, and is unprecedented in its level of exposure to real medicine in practice. Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical documentation in EHR system.
• Ensure that all clinical data, lab, or other test results, as well as the interpretation of the results by the physician, are recorded accurately in the medical record.
• Document procedures, consults, and discussions.
• Obtain and record past medical, family, and social histories and provider review of systems.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification/Experience

• One year experience working in medical setting
• Two year degree or equivalent experience in healthcare professional field preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of patient care notes.
• Medical terminology course completion required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Comfortable navigating electronic medical records.
• Intermediate-level computer proficiency with email, fax, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and patients. 
• Typing speed 40-50wpm
• Ability to organize daily activities of self
• Attention to detail
• Proficient in typing and good at spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.
• Self-driven, Thoroughness
• Detail oriented and accurate
