Position Overview:
Bluestone is seeking a summer intern to join our Population Health Team to support our administrative, program and project work for the summer of 2024.
The population health department at Bluestone manages the operations of the Bluestone ACO (Accountable Care Organization). The ACO is looking for an intern to assist in the launch of a pilot program that recruits existing Bluestone patients to sign up for Bluestone's Accountable Care Organization. This project work will help develop healthcare communication skills, interactions with patients and families and learn about the operations of an ACO.
The Population Health Intern will also have the opportunity to learn about value-based care and the strategies that Bluestone has implemented to become the number one shared savings ACO in the country!
Number of Interns : 1
Duration/Hours : 12-15 hours per week June through August. Flexible work days but recommended during business hours.
Pay : $20-$22 per hour
Benefits : None as a temporary employee
Responsibilities:

• Conducting phone calls to eligible patients to sign-up for Bluestone's ACO
• Documenting and tracking the outcomes associated with the recruitment efforts
• Attend weekly meetings with the Population Health team to report on progress
• Developing instructions for patients and families on how to sign-up for Bluestone's ACO
• Outline the benefits of being part of the Bluestone ACO in a simple and patient friendly format

Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Experience

• Must be 18 years of age
• Some travel in Twin Cities Metro area may be required
• Current student or recent graduate with an interest in healthcare, value-based care or program management
• Proficient in Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background in healthcare communications
