Paralegal Duties:

• Complete intake process with potential clients (gathering information, setting up file for attorney to review, scheduling meeting between potential client and attorney, and docketing the Statute of Limitations)

• Set up the client file (electronic and paper) including ordering any necessary medical records and itemized billing statements

• Assist the attorney in their review of client files

• Assist in locating experts, drafting demand packages, drafting pleadings, and drafting correspondence for the attorneys

• Once a Summons and Complaint has been filed, the paralegal is responsible for docketing all relevant deadlines as they become available and notifying the attorneys of upcoming events

• Responsible for handling phone calls for attorneys and scheduling appointments as necessary, disseminating information, and staying current on client status

• The Litigation Paralegal will also maintain a comprehensive case list of all active and potential clients and arrange regular team meetings to review the case lists.

• Paralegal will be responsible for filing documents into the appropriate client files, providing upcoming weekly task emails, billing clients as necessary, and managing the attorneys’ calendars.

• Paralegal certificate is not needed, but preferred.
• Ideal candidate should work well with a group- but be a self-starter/independent worker
