BluePearl Specialty Emergency Pet Hospital in Forest Hills, NY, is seeking a Veterinarian with several years of clinical experience who is ready for the next level of leadership as the Medical Director (MD) at our hospital. The MD will partner in leadership with hospital administration and the ER Clinical Team Lead to create a sense of community and interact globally with the hospital and all clinicians. Using excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the Medical Director will support the veterinary relationships and enhance an engaging work environment for all.

The primary responsibilities of the MD include upholding medical quality standards (patient care, client and PDVM satisfaction, and patient safety), supporting medical quality and operational initiatives, fostering a clinician-driven culture and one that cultivates a learning environment, and clinician recruiting, engagement, and retention.

There is dedicated paid administrative time off the floor to allow for optimal success in creating a positive impact. MDs can work as full-time clinicians or in a hybrid model with split admin-clinical time and weekly paid time off the floor.

Our BluePearl Queens hospital is located in Forest Hills, NY and serves all of Queens County, including the areas of Forest Hills, Queens, Rego Park, Middle Village, and lower Nassau county. Our hospital is the only 24-hour emergency and specialty hospitals in Queens. We are accessible by public transportation and have a parking garage within our building. Built in 2008, our hospital was one of the original locations when BluePearl was founded.

At BluePearl Queens, we offer 24/7 emergency medicine, cardiology, critical care, dermatology and allergy treatment, internal medicine, soft tissue, minimally invasive, and orthopedic surgery, oncology, radiology, and anesthesiology. Our state-of-the-art facility has advanced equipment including a CT scanner, hemodialysis unit, long term ventilator, endoscopy and arthroscopy. The entire hospital is located on one floor, which is beneficial for large or immobile patients.
