The staff pharmacist will work collaboratively with pharmacy, nursing, medical, clinical, and administrative staff to properly dispense medications and ensure safe, efficient, and coordinated delivery of high-quality services to patients. The staff pharmacist will be expected to maintain and continually update clinical knowledge to fully support staff and fully embrace the mission of the organization to promote better health and better life for all patients served.
The primary role of the staff pharmacist is to collaborate with providers and staff within the health center to deliver high-quality medication dispensing services to patients. Daily responsibilities include establishing and maintaining effective relationships with patients, supporting patients in accomplishing medication adherence, supervising pharmacy workflow, and ensuring department compliance with 340b rules and regulations. Other responsibilities may include management of inventory and the development of patient assistance programs.
