Kaizen Analytix is Hiring a Remote Data Science Engineer
Data Science Engineer – Contractor
Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics consulting services and product firm that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking candidates for a talented Data Science Engineer to join our team.
As a Data Science Engineer, you will be expected to support existing data science use cases / optimization processes and the associated data engineering work that goes into supporting them. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science and data engineering, including experience with DataBricks, ETL processes, Python, SQL, Alteryx and PowerBI.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand, assess, and explain the underlying data science techniques like forecasting and optimization
- Design and develop scripts necessary for the data extraction processes
- Automate the data extraction and modeling processes as necessary
- Work on data analysis and development related assignments as required
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- PhD in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline OR Master’s in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Or
- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Expertise in statistical and data analysis, forecasting, and optimization
- Experienced in Python, SQL
- DataBricks experience a plus
- Experience with PowerBI
- Experience with Alteryx or Knime a plus
- Familiar with Scrum Methodology & JIRA
- Excellent written, verbal skills
