Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key role in maintaining employee satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages.

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees using various software systems such as Workday, Ceridian, and Kronos
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy
- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings based on employee information
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees on time
- Address any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies from employees
- Maintain accurate payroll records and files
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
- Assist with year-end payroll activities such as W-2 processing
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll, such as journal entries, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in using payroll software systems (e.g., Workday, Ceridian, Kronos)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations is a plus
