    Multiple Locations Blue Springs School District is in need of Academic Tutors in all areas and levels of instruction for the 23 - 24 school year
    Position Summary:
    Academic Tutors work with indivudal students as well as small groups to improve academic skills, provide additional time and resources for new concepts, and assist in completion of assignments.
    • This job reports to: Building Principal
    • The hourly rate for this posiiton is $25 / hr with a maximum of 15 hours per week during the regular school day.

    Responsibilities:

    • Schedule tutoring appointments with teachers and students and arrive on time and prepared for the day's lesson
    • Create educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions
    • Assess the progress of assigned students to ensure effective processes
    • Plan creative lessons to engage and educate students
    • Maintain a quiet and orderly workspace for students within the tutoring space
    • Establish a friendly, encouraging and welcoming environment for students upon their entering of the establishment
    • Connect with parents and keep them informed of student's progress and areas to be improved
    • Promote high standards for academic success and behavior and continually encourage students to meet them
    Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid Missouri teaching certificate.
