Duties:
- Safely operate a shuttle bus or van to transport passengers to and from designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shuttle bus or van, both inside and out.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes or delays.
- Handle passenger inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Experience:
- Previous experience in school bus driving, paratransit, or commercial driving is preferred but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide assistance to passengers as needed.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, as required for loading and unloading passenger belongings.
