We are looking to hire a Controls Lead on a full-time basis. The pay range we are offering is $47k - 56k annually based on experience. As Controls Lead, you will manage and work alongside a team of Electronics Technicians to design, program, wire, and install electronics in props, puzzles, and control panels. Responsibilities
Produce high quality props, puzzles, and controls systems
Keep accurate documentation
Follow and enforce electronics best practices
Install episodes in new locations
Team building, performance management, and staff development
Cultivating and maintaining a healthy culture
Work alongside and lead members of the Controls team to construct and install escape episodes that meet key performance indicators.
Purchasing items and materials
Preparing for and leading the Controls team through new location installs
Ensuring props and puzzle builds are properly documented
Working with other teams and departments to solve production and maintenance issues
Improving Red Door's production techniques and best practices
Manage members of the Controls team and provide vision for their growth on an individual and departmental level.
Holding weekly 1:1s with direct reports
Incrementally challenging team members
Understanding the design team vision and cultivating team buy-in to the vision
Assuring team members receive proper training
Providing frequent communication on key skills and concrete steps for improving
Championing team culture
Keeping the office in good working order
Learning new methods of production
Identify improvement areas and develop processes to streamline builds and improve organization.
Developing systems and processes to better improvement areas
Regulating innovation and change responsibly
Desired experience and requirements
Basic understanding of electrical circuits
Familiarity with programming concepts and languages (Arduino, Python, C , Ladder Logic)
Strong organizational skills and cleanliness
Excellent problem solving/analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Google Sheets
Willingness to grow
Ability to travel during new location installs (2 weeks at a time, 3-4 times per year)
Ability to safely and confidently use ladders
Ability to work with standard hand and power tools
Schedule
40-50 Hours per week, with the exception of install periods
Monday - Friday between the hours of 8AM - 5PM with a 1 hour lunch break
