JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role

The Director of Employee Productivity within Infrastructure & Cloud Services will lead teams responsible for the strategy, delivery, and support of Blue Shield of California’s enterprise end user computing and collaboration solutions. Key focus areas include endpoint client standards, software distribution, mobile device management, content management, email and calendaring, group collaboration, enterprise search, and tier 3 support within the BSC offices. This role is also the service delivery owner and liaison for SaaS and Cloud solutions such as Microsoft Office 365. Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Be a champion for innovation – understand and articulate trends that create business and financial value for the organization.
  • Be aware and understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on the business; sponsor and evangelize new technologies across the enterprise.
  • Partner and establish a shift-left strategy that empowers our support teams to reduce the impact to BSC employees.
  • Lead planning, service delivery and financial management for department.
  • Define a strategy that implements modern workplace technologies and enhances the usability of tools for Blue Shield of California employees.
  • Work as an expert consultant to business departments to create a user rich experience assisting with development of clearly defined business requirements. Oversee solution designs and establish associated reusable patterns and integration guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures and methodologies for effective consumption and support of services.
  • Ensure performance and availability of services meet SLA's and objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning; and strive to continuously improve service metrics.
  • Define a strategy to look at trending support needs and partner closely with all operational teams, within Digital Employee Experience and outside to analyze key metrics to establish continuous improvements into the solutions provided to BSC employees.
  • Manage and lead teams to ensure all design, implementation, and support functions are performed adequately.
  • Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery.
  • Partner and support internal clients and executive management to understand the business needs and process feedback on how our environment can be better managed, develop and maintain relationships with peers and partners.
  • Partner and be a thought partner with Enterprise Architecture in the technical evaluation and solutions of new technologies.
  • Partner with Vendor Management Office regarding software and tool vendor relationships.
  • Develop and lead a build a high performing team. Ensure employee engagement is maintained at high levels.
  • Manage approved budgets. Understand and know the costs of delivery or services provided.
  • Maintain frequent and effective peer level and executive communication plans with business partners and process owners to ensure consistent messaging and service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information system, or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Requires at least 6 years of experience managing technical teams concurrently
  • Proven experience as a technology evangelist [BS1] , where you have demonstrated an ability to influence and change how an organization works, which increases the adoption of our modern collaboration tools
  • Significant experience with entire Office 365 suite, along with associated on-premise solutions, including SharePoint, MS Teams, Exchange, etc.
  • Effective communicator with a strong customer service orientation, ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, and lead and influence senior professionals.
  • Significant experience with scoping and managing process improvement and tools deployment projects. Management skills in an operationally changing environment, with drive for results and success based on planned objectives.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology and/or integrating diverse technology applications.
  • Strong Active Directory experience.
  • Experience with mobile data management technologies.
  • Strong desktop management and software distribution experience.
  • Strong experience with search technologies.
  • Strong experience with content management technologies.
  • Experience with workflow technologies.
  • Strong background and working knowledge of all phases of systems analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Healthcare, financial, or large service provider experience preferred.
  • Knowledge base & experience in Cloud (Azure, GCP), automation, core infrastructure technologies, information security and cloud migration required
  • Background in LEAN/Agile methodologies preferred

    Pay Range:

    The pay range for this role is: $ 167200.00 to $ 250800.00 for California.

    Note:

    Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
