JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role

The Pharmacy Infrastructure Team acts as the support staff for Pharmacy Services and is responsible for the development and maintenance of operational processes. The Business Process Analyst, Experienced reports to the Sr. Manager of the Pharmacy Infrastructure Team and will work closely with multiple team members and subject matter experts across the organization to produce and maintain high-quality documentation and participate in several process improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role will play a key part in identifying opportunities for improvement in operational performance. Developing, designing, and maintaining appropriate documentation of business processes, training guides, tutorials, policies and procedures, in order to meet the needs of the Pharmacy Authorization Center and Benefits & Claims teams.

Your work:

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the development of repeatable processes to improve operational efficiency of identified Pharmacy Authorization Center process gaps and follow through on implementation and execution
  • Participate in cross-functional business team to scope business requirements and assist development of business cases for new business initiatives
  • Document business processes, training guides, tutorials, desk level procedures and policies & procedures
  • Work with subject matter experts to obtain an understanding of internal processes and documentation needs
  • Produce high-quality easy-to-understand documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Review and edit scope and format of new and published materials prepared by subject matter experts to ensure documentation meets standards and guidelines
  • Prepare internal communication; engaging all appropriate SMEs for content
  • Perform analysis of data to ensure systems and processes are effective
  • Perform system testing, data validation, and develop documentation for a variety of projects within the Pharmacy Authorization Center

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform GAP analysis, process mapping, risk analysis and requirements gathering
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong content research and editing skills
  • Exhibits “can do” attitude and solution-oriented approach to issues encountered
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in face of incomplete or ambiguous information
  • Ability to push ideas, initiatives, and goals through work unit and/or organization
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, using established procedures
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $71,280.00 to $99,770.00 for California.

Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
