Blue Shield of CA is Hiring a Marketing Operations Specialist, Consultant - Mandates/Compliance Near Long Beach, CA

Your Role

The Communication Governance team supports the development and implementation of strategic communication programs to improve overall member experience, streamline operational processes, and govern member-facing communications to align with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Marketing Operations Specialist, Consultant - Communication Governance will report to the Sr Manager, Communication Governance.

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in federal and state mandates to maintain communication compliance throughout the enterprise. The Marketing Operations Specialist, Consultant - Mandates/Compliance will support a strong governance policy and dynamic cross-functional process integration to achieve communication transformation objectives and improved operations. This role will monitor the progress of mandate implementation, update relevant business stakeholders of communication governance progress, and publish operating status reports.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for planning and implementing complex mandates projects spanning across business areas where analysis requires evaluation of variable factors
  • Serve as Project Manager leading and designing special mandates programs to ensure strategic direction is in alignment with Business Unit goals and objectives
  • Facilitate, document, and report all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects to drive cross-functional teams to high performance execution
  • Determine key member experience impacts, develop effective member communication plans for mandated marketing changes, and implement to successful conclusion
  • Assist with building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. Manage development of presentations and speaking points for presentations, meetings, and project updates. Consultant with an make recommendations senior management on significant issues and influence decision-marketing. Assess and drive resolution for all risks as they are encounters
  • Take a disciplined approach to review, approve, and facilitate member-facing communications across channels; align mandated communications to business objectives and establish reporting to monitor effective of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain enterprise communication calendar for tracking all outbound member interactions in central location including all final artifacts, data files, and measurement of KPIs

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related areas
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires experience in healthcare compliance and legislation
  • Experience with health plan member communication strongly preferred
  • Experience with Medicaid strongly preferred
  • Requires project and program management experience to manage complex member communication projects
  • Experience in Six Sigma Green/Black Belt process improvement or similar methodology discipline strongly preferred
  • Requires Advanced MS Office experience with ability to use advanced features of Excel and develop/present advanced PowerPoint decks
  • Track record of human-centered process design in a highly regulated industry preferred
  • Strong data-driven decision making and problem-solving abilities

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
