Blue Ridge Bank NA is Hiring a Director - Financial Planning & Analysis Near Richmond, VA

Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for financial planning and analysis (FP&A) policies, practices, processes for the Company and its subsidiaries. Leads the FP&A team in fulfilling duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in or manages the annual strategic planning initiative.
  • Directs the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, interacting with all business line and department leaders.
  • Directs the bank’s asset/liability management (ALM) process, including recommending model inputs and assumptions. Interprets the results, presenting such to board of directors and management.
  • Acts as the company’s primary risk manager for interest rate and other risks in areas of responsibility. Develops and recommends strategies to monitor and manage risks in relevant areas.
  • Directs and performs financial analyses in support of new and existing business lines, products, and services. Directs as hoc analysis as needed.
  • Maintains policies and recommends policy guidelines for areas of responsibility.
  • Manages the capital planning process.
  • Participates as a member of the bank’s deposit pricing committee. Provides input as pricing impacts overall Company strategy and financial results.
  • Manages overall strategy for management and cost center reporting. Ensures maintenance of business line and intercompany allocations. 
  • Manages and/or performs ad hoc analysis to support various initiatives and to track progress toward desired results.
  • Participates in on-going cash management.
  • Prepares quarterly Enterprise Risk Management assessments for areas of responsibility.
  • Prepares and/or presents materials for the Board of Directors in delivery of various responsibilities.
  • Participates in external and internal audits and regulatory exams.
  • Supports mergers, acquisitions, and other initiatives with financial analyses. Participates in implementations, as required.
  • Documents finance processes and assures deliverables meet deadlines and are accurate and well supported.
  • Ensures timely completion of required regulatory and company training.

Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, or relevant area. 

Skills:

  • Experience in financial modeling and reporting. 
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including exposure to banking
  • Knowledge of general finance. 
  • Strong computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making/problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and math skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language required.

Abilities:

  • Ability to learn bank programmed software.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with accounts while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work all branch hours, remote or in office, including weekend and evenings.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and/or journals, or government regulations.
  • Ability to deal directly with the public, on the phone or face to face, following the Bank’s Customer Service Standards.
