Position Overview:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Data & AI consulting firm, where you will be assigned to work closely with a prestigious client's team, focusing on advanced compensation calculation methodologies within their corporate systems. As a key member of this project, you will be at the forefront of evaluating and shaping technological strategies, crafting architectures, and developing innovative technology solutions for our client. Your role will involve active participation in both the development and deployment of these solutions, ensuring they align with the client's business objectives and our firm's standards of excellence.
In this dynamic position, you will also engage regularly with the client's business stakeholders, playing a crucial role in driving new business initiatives and ensuring seamless integration of our services with their operational goals. Your expertise will not only contribute to the success of our client's projects but also showcase the value and impact our consulting firm brings to the forefront of Data & AI solutions.
Note : This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days a week in the Stamford, CT office.
Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design the technical framework of applications, including but not limited to data structures, programming languages, interfaces, utilities, and testing methodologies.
• Lead and contribute to the collection of requirements and resolution of issues, collaborating with both technical and business personnel. Expected to deliver detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, system designs, and technical specifications.
• Develop new software applications and provide ongoing enhancements and maintenance for client systems, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Oversee tasks related to system upgrades, resilience enhancements, capacity expansions, automation, controls, and integration with both internal and external vendors and services.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to address operational challenges, optimize CI/CD platforms, and implement best practices in DevOps across the team and projects.
• Drive continuous advancement of the platforms by incorporating the latest in technology and software development methodologies.

Required Qualifications :

• A minimum of 10 years in professional software development, with a strong emphasis on Java. Additional experience with C# and .Net is beneficial.
• Demonstrated expertise in design, optimization, and modeling within intricate application environments.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a knack for proposing innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
• Advanced database skills, encompassing both modeling and development.
• Proficiency in frameworks such as React, Angular, and Spring.
• Experience in Python programming.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other similar messaging systems.
• Experience with workflow systems (e.g. Appian).
• Proven track record in full-stack application design, focusing on scalability, performance, and code maintenance.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards, particularly when handling sensitive data.

Desirable Skills :

• Experience with Databricks or similar platforms.
• Knowledge or experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub.
• Familiarity with DataDog, Docker.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and terminology.
