A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you are the ambassador to our customers. When clients come in with their vehicles, you greet them and establish rapport, determining the reason they brought in their vehicle and answering any questions they might have. Once you've determined the issue with their vehicle, you recommend appropriate services and clearly explain the justification and cost of everything you suggest. After a customer agrees to the work you propose, you record their information and prepare a repair order for the technician who will be working on their car.

You represent our company to customers, so you go out of your way to provide consistently excellent customer service and establish great relationships that will keep people coming back. Your fair, accurate estimates and willingness to answer questions help you earn every customer's trust. You also maintain a clean, professional front desk and reception area to put customers at ease as soon as they walk in the door. Internally, you're a leader on our team who promotes positive shop morale and is always looking for ways to improve our processes. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR

• Strong computer literacy and the ability to adapt to company systems
• Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute with above-average spelling ability
• Ability to operate a photocopier, calculator, credit card machines, and all related business equipment
• Computer and point-of-sale proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation

Experience as a service advisor or in customer service with an independent auto repair shop is strongly preferred. Are you a confident people-person with excellent customer service and sales skills? WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR

This full-time sales position works a 4-day week! The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We the lock doors at 5:00 to make sure you get out on time.
