YOUR LIFE AS AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER

This full-time sales position works a 4-day week ! The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM .

We the lock doors at 5 : 00 to make sure you get out on time.

You're the ambassador to our customers and a vital part of our auto shop's continued success. Being our essential Automotive Service Writer, you greet clients as they come in with their vehicles, establishing a great rapport with them and determining the issues they are needing to be solved.

After determining the issue with their vehicle, you provide service recommendations that clearly explain the justifications and costs.

When a customer agrees to move forward with your suggestions, you record their information and prepare a repair order for the appropriate technician that will be working on their vehicle.

Always providing excellent customer service, you go out of your way to establish great relationships that keep people coming back to our auto shop.

You present customers with fair, accurate estimates and thoroughly answer any questions or concerns that earn every customer's trust.

Our customers are also put to ease as they walk through the door to a clean, professional front desk and reception area that you help maintain.

Aside from handling our customers' needs, you're also a leader on our team who promotes positive shop morale and is always looking for ways to improve our processes.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Strong computer literacy and the ability to adapt to company systems
• Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute with above-average spelling ability
• Ability to operate a photocopier, calculator, credit card machines, and all related business equipment
• Computer and point-of-sale proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation

Experience as a service advisor or in customer service with an independent auto shop is strongly preferred. If you can meet these requirements and perform this sales job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our team!
