Blu Omega is Hiring a Business Development Associate Near Leesburg, VA

The Business Operations Associate will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day operations and finance of the company. Collaborating closely with various departments, this role will focus on optimizing processes, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
**Candidates must be local to the DMV area**
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination (Kickoff & Close Out): Support kickoff meetings and project closeouts by coordinating logistics and facilitating communication among team members.
  • Project Tracking & Financial Management: Assist in tracking projects by collecting and adding new funding purchase order modification information to the tracker.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Assist in coordinating resources across departments, including tracking procurement and vendor management activities.
  • Accounts Payable: Support accounts payable functions, including processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Coordinate monthly expense reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
  • SharePoint Management: Assist with SharePoint sites for projects and contracts, ensuring document organization and accessibility.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Contribute to the development of SOPs for all business units and processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Compliance Management: Support program / project compliance by coordinating with HR/Finance units to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulations, policies, and laws.
  • GSA Schedule Support: Aid in updating the GSA schedule, including data entry and documentation related to adding SINs and LCATs.
  • Support Business Certifications Implementation: Participate in preparations for business certification implementations, including data analysis and process enhancements, and timeline tracking for certs such as CMMC and ISO.
  • Corporate Event Support: Support with gathering Business Operations data for quarterly, annual HQ, and Leadership offsite meetings, gathering and coordinating calen presentation materials within the Business Operations unit.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Support finance team in various financial analysis and reporting tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2 – 5 years' experience in operations or finance management, either in the private (Commercial) or public sector (Federal / State & Local Government).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
Salary Range: $60K 5% Bonus
