SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in all activities associated with running the Rotary including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set-up print and die cut section on Rotary Die cut accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.

Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.

Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, print registration and print quality in accordance with customer’s specification.

Check anilox rolls for damage.

Perform caliper checks on raw material prior to manufacturing.

Verify pH and viscosity are within the necessary range for quality print.

Assist First Helper, Flexo Stacker, and Bundlers with job duties on the machine.

Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Safety Data, Quality Data.

Identify machine issues and complete maintenance work orders on needed repairs.

Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Adhere to production schedule.

Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.

Report any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.

Additional duties may be assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters
  • Ability to understand and follow written, verbal and graphic instructions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to calculate percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain lift truck operator license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED.

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.

6 months’ experience in the Finishing Department

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to sit, bend, walk, reach. At times, must stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to operate machinery. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. At times, must be able to lift up to a 100 pounds using the buddy system.
