BLC Consulting is Hiring an Entry Level Accountant Near Harvey, LA
Our accounting team is looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join our corporate office in Harvey. The Staff Accountant position is an entry-level role in which critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills will be needed to apply accounting theory and knowledge. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehend chart of accounts
- Enter and post monthly, adjusting and accruing journal entries
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts
- Provide concise analysis
- Suggest process improvements
- Assist with the year-end audit
- Assist with invoice creation and delivery
- Journalize cash receipts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor degree in Accounting is required
- Experience with Oracle software a plus
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software and Google Suites
- Ability to participate as a team member and perform job duties independently
- Practice efficient time management
- Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information and follow ethical standards
- Demonstrate adaptability and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
