Job Title: Head Server (Captain) / Sommelier
Reports To: General Manager
Description:
Blanca is a 13-seat tasting menu counter hidden behind Roberta’s in Bushwick.
The restaurant has been closed since 2020 and reopened in January 2024 with Victoria Blamey as the Executive Chef. We are looking for experienced professionals who want to become an integral part of a small team and actively contribute to the restaurant’s success. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience at a similar establishment.
Applicants must be comfortable interacting with guests respectfully and professionally. In addition to a strong knowledge in restaurant service and culinary concepts, applicants must have: full-time availability, a strong work ethic, and a deeply ingrained sense of urgency & attention to detail. The ideal candidates will have strong qualities for a leadership role, and be able to develop a strong sense of camaraderie within the small team. Knowledge of steps of service in a fine dining restaurant is a plus. Wine knowledge is a must.
