We are seeking an experienced Senior Network and Systems Engineer to provide support for network and system operations at Blackstone Products. This engineer will support a wide variety of complex enterprise systems that help drive and enable desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, monitor, and support systems including but not limited to firewalls, network access control, EDR, Windows and Linux systems, virtualization systems and email security and auditing
• Provide design and architecture advice & review to ensure security best practices & requirements are applied to new initiatives, applications, systems and services
• Assist with policy and procedure documentation and diagramming
• Create, oversee and test disaster recovery measures
• Work with other IT and engineering staff to support business systems 
• Review and action infrastructure and security alerts
• Implement ITIL principles and procedures to enable continual service improvement
• Mentor other IT team members
• Liaison with service desk staff and provide escalation support
• Communicate with end users to ensure IT is providing and meeting the expected outcomes

Requirements

• A diverse set of skills including advanced problem solving, solid verbal and written communication, excellent relationship building experience, multi-tasking, and strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant network and systems administration
• Strong ability to present technical solutions and adjust communication to accommodate all levels of technical expertise areas

Technical Qualifications

• Proficient in MacOS, Windows, Linux, and mobile operating systems
• Solid foundation in networking concepts, protocols, ports and their real-world application in troubleshooting complex network issues within a corporate environment
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proficient in next generation firewalls.
• Experience with traditional datacenter and cloud hosting
• Storage and compute design 
• Willingness to be in an on-call rotation
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems
• OS hardening experience
• IDS/IPS management experience
• VPN management, both client and site to site
• Strong understanding of web application design, function and secure software development lifecycles preferred
