Essential Functions:

• Designs electrical systems by developing and testing components.
• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Confirms systems’ and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods.
• Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components.
• Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilities.
• Assures product designs meet applicable certification requirements and industry standards.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
• Provides troubleshooting and training knowledge to Customer Support and Product Development.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies where applicable.

Requirements

• BS in electrical engineering degree required, Master’s degree a plus
• 5 years relevant work experience, including internship or cooperative program experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification(s).

Experience Needed:

• Experience with indoor electrical appliances
• Electronic testing design
• Electronics troubleshooting
• Electronic systems
• Analyzing information
• Reporting research results
