The Aladdin Sustainability team is responsible for the commercial, client and product strategy of Aladdin offerings delivering sustainable data, analytics and tools to the firm and its clients. As Senior Director of Product, you will operate at the intersection of business and technology working horizontally with developers, researchers, and other stakeholders to empower sustainability use cases across the investment lifecycle. We seek an experienced and motivated leader to bring marketplace and investment process knowledge to our Aladdin Sustainability product management team. Strong candidates will bring a leadership voice, grounded in years of successful product management and client delivery. You will research the competitive landscape and influence product strategy. You will also lead new product initiatives, coordinate engagement with users, oversee product roadmaps, and ensure unparalleled execution to deliver winning products. Success in this product vertical will improve Aladdin’s overall value offering and facilitate new growth opportunities, ultimately contributing to

bold Aladdin growth targets while delivering impactful functionality to BlackRock’s asset management business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and influence an inclusive virtual team across the product delivery value chain, from data, analytics and product development.
  • Develop, own, and evangelize product strategy, including a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and key differentiators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features and enhancements, balancing client needs and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features.
  • Translate investment process experience and client feedback to build intuitive user interfaces improving the end-to-end client experience reducing service costs.
  • Partner with client-facing teams to manage product launches, craft product campaigns and set target revenue outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Act as a liaison between the product management team and executive leadership, communicating key updates and insights.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years of financial technology and related product experience. Intimate knowledge of the end-to-end investment process.
  • Proven success managing large, cross-functional, technical projects by delivering measurable value to demanding client communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate up and down the organization.
  • Proficiency working with both technical developers and financial modelers as well as business leaders and end users.
  • Strong organizational, networking, problem-solving, and planning skills. Familiarity with Agile product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated management experience.
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $210,000 - $267,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
