Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of IT to lead our technology initiatives and drive process enhancements throughout our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, particularly in leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) and technology to streamline operating processes within a cold storage warehouse environment. Additionally, this role will involve deploying and managing the company's IT infrastructure, security, applications, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and technology improvements to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources and skills necessary to succeed.

Warehouse Management System (WMS) Optimization:

Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of the WMS to meet the unique needs of a cold storage warehouse.
Continuously evaluate WMS functionality and performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in warehouse processes.
Implement technology solutions and process enhancements to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.

Technology Infrastructure Management:

Deploy and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure to support business operations.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect IT systems and data from cyber threats and breaches.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data security, privacy, and food safety.
Oversight and general management of companywide IT policies.

Application Management:

Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of business applications and systems.
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate, select, and implement new applications as needed.

Data Management and Analysis:

Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of warehouse data.
Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement across warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
7 years of experience in IT leadership role, with a focus on warehouse management systems and process optimization.
Strong technical expertise in WMS platforms, such as Accellos High Jump, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems.
Proven track record of leading successful IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives, delivering measurable results.
Advanced skills in Microsoft environments, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Suite, Azure Active Directory, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
Knowledge of cold storage warehouse operations, EDI setup and confirmation and industry best practices is highly desirable.
High level of organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
