Blachford is a chemical manufacturing company, in operation since 1921. We produce lubricants for various industries, including for the production of ferrous and non-ferrous wire. Blachford remains a leader in our industry because we are constantly innovating to produce new and higher quality products for our customers. All of our manufacturing processes are designed to be flexible and versatile with short lead times in mind. We have never been afraid to make big changes if they mean improving our quality of service. In order to further expand into this market, we are seeking a new person to join our amazing team. This position will report to the Blachford Chemical Group which has a head office in Ontario Canada, however, the successful candidate will maintain a home office, and travel as required to meet with customers. Our team is seeking a Sales and Territory Manager with a solid background in ferrous and non-ferrous wire drawing. Armed with your technical knowledge of the industry and the products, you would cultivate strong relationships with existing and new clientele, supporting them with new and existing products, organizing trials, trouble shooting problems with existing products, and advancing revenue growth. Your excellent communication and organizational skills will ensure our clients receive your full attention, and technical support as needed.

This position will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing for the Metalworking sales division. In meeting with your manager, you will review your strategies, identify new opportunities, and track your market forecasts. Your talent to build and nurture relationships will be used at conventions, to prepare and present training for clients, or making sales presentations of our products to new clients. Maintaining industry knowledge and market trends is imperative and will support you in identifying growth opportunities for the market and your clients. Successful candidates will act with integrity and honesty to all clients, vendors, all company members, and will endeavor to use open and positive communication.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or demonstrated equivalency through experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales or business development

· Proven technical competence and understanding of chemical product and application uses

· Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets driving revenue growth

Skills and Experience:

· Expert communication and interpersonal skills, build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

· Excellent ability to problem-solve, with critical thinking, and communicate any actions or resolutions effectively.

· Advanced negotiation skills and management of multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

· Proven record for outstanding customer service and client relationship management

· Strong multi-tasking abilities and able to adapt to changing priorities effectively

· Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques to sell to high-level executives

Benefit and Compensation:

· Annual anticipated compensation of commission and salary at $120,000 to $150,000
