About The Job Self Financial is looking for a Director of Operational Excellence and Change Management to support our Operations Strategy and Planning team to scale and drive efficiency within our systems, tools, and processes. The role will be responsible for leading a team that supports Operational projects and coordinates operational readiness initiatives. You will be responsible for gathering and refining business requirements for product and tool enhancements, analyzing operations bottlenecks and pain points, and scoping out opportunities for impact, and acting on escalations from our front-line Customer Success team. In addition, you will bring vast Project Management experience to the team, evaluating existing tools and project management systems to offer ideas and suggestions for modification. This role will also focus on controls and customer improvement outcomes resulting from customer feedback. What You Will Do
Manage a team that supports projects and issues impacting the Operations space
Engage in Planning and Strategy with Operational Leadership to evaluate initiatives and establish prioritization
Coordinate cross functionally with Product, Engineering, and other teams internally to ensure alignment of timelines, resources, priorities, and risks
Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and communicating/securing resources for strategic initiatives
Evaluate existing team cadences, documents, and processes and ideate and implement improvements
Establish and deliver reporting to executive level management
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Work with stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating project status, risks, and issues effectively
Provide regular project status updates to senior management, including both written and oral formats
Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
What You Bring
6-8 years of experience in Fin-Tech or Financial industry project management,
Six Sigma Certification
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams
Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget through use of project management systems and processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project outcomes, dependencies, and risks with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively
Systems Experience (Preferred)
Atlassian Products (Jira, Service Management, & Confluence)
Salesforce Products (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, & 3rd party integrations)
LucidChart (or comparable process mapping tools)
Asana (or similar project management tools)
G-Suite & Slack (or similar communication platforms)
Bonus Certifications :
PMI or similar certifications in project or program management
Agile or scrum certifications
Base salary range: $155,000- $226,000 annually. Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related reasons.
