DISTRICT MANAGER (CENTRAL TEXAS) POSTING

DISTRICT MANAGER SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Operations/VP of Operations, the District Manager is responsible for 4 – 6 Burger King locations. Responsibilities include achieving financial goals through building sales and controlling costs, maintaining food safety & brand standards, training & developing restaurant teams to deliver Quality, Service and Cleanliness to each and every guest. District managers are accountable for turnover and therefore must practice effective interviewing to hire qualified management candidates to begin as Managers in Training in Kolkhorst Burger Kings. The District Manager is accountable to plan their calendars for the period with required visits and execute the company routines on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. District managers report to the Director of Operations but coordinate with and report to all senior management in the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Leadership Skills : Must be able to keep employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions.

Time Management : Working with multiple stores and managers across a large region requires coordinating visits with the stores, completing all above restaurant managerial tasks, and making a direct impact on each of the stores. Managing time efficiently is crucial to the position.

Budgeting & Cost Controls : It is expected that our District Managers ensure their region is maintaining their budgets and controlling their costs (i.e. Labor, Inventory). They will need to consistently follow up with their teams, coach them, and create action plans to set them on the path to meet financial objectives.

Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze P & L categories, GUEST TRAC™ data, and sales history to provide guidance on how to improve.

Financials : Must have a fundamental understanding of profit & loss statements and operations analytics that help drive sales and revenues.

Decision-Making Skills: The buck stops with you. Having the ability to make hard and fast decisions is crucial to success.

Speaking & Writing : May need to write reports, speak in front of executive management, or develop analyses for your region.

Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.

Pleasant, polite and a clean and neat appearance.

Ability to motivate employees to work as a team.

Must possess good communication skills or dealing with a diverse staff.

Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of management applicants.

Focuses on accomplishing company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant (3 yrs. ) experience in multi-unit management.

Required Certification/License: ServSafe Certificate.

Prior experience in restaurant management and district management preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Driver Licenses in good standing.

Proof of insurance, access to private transportation.

Access to a working phone line.

Consent to background screening including criminal and drug screening.

Basic knowledge of computers (MS Word and Excel).

Willing to travel for business purpose as needed.
