Brief Job Description:

The overall purpose of this position is to providecustomers with the goods and services needed to perform the functions of theirjobs and support the mission of healing, teaching, and discovery. Staff inthis position frequently communicate with customers to identify and resolveproblems. The primary duties are focused on warehousing, medical supplydelivery, inventory support, restocking/maintaining POU machines, linendistribution/collection, and other medical supply distribution tasks to supportdirect patient care areas. This position may serve as the backup lead worker.This position is the second level of three within this job classification andreports to Logistics Managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Performs receiving, stocking, data entry,picking, delivery, and functions as necessary to ensure required daily tasksare completed on time, and sufficiently, to meet the customer’s needs formedical supplies and linen. Performs requirements of, and maintains compliancewith, organizational guidelines and policies.

·Stocks and empties Scrub Avail dispensers, andempties chute rooms as necessary to ensure an accurate and adequate supply ofscrubs and linen are available to meet customer needs.

·Performs preventive maintenance functions of thePyxis/ParEx supply machines/areas as necessary to ensure accurate restockingand patient charging.

·Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient workingenvironment; Shelves ensures shelves are properly erected, clean, neat,properly stocked, and marked with product information. Housekeeping: ensuresthe warehouse is clean, packaging removed, and non-stock products are neatlyarranged. Facilities: ensures facility deficiencies are reported. Equipment:provides proper care and regular services to equipment, logs, and reportsdeficiencies.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

·Maintains knowledge of, adheres to, and knowsthe locations for, departmental policy, procedure, safety, and MSDS manuals.

·When tasked, drives organizational vehicles in asafe and efficient manner, assist Logistics Fleet and Warehouse supervisorswith the maintenance and refueling, maintain driver's log, and fills outvehicle inspection reports as necessary. Have and maintain a valid driver'slicense. Maintain special equipment as assigned i.e., tire chains, inclementweather accessories, tire jacks, etc. Performs emergency roadside service tovehicles such as changing a flat tire.

·Work directly with the recall coordinator toprovide support to the recall process by opening and reading recall notices.

·The employee may be exposed to soiled linenwhile performing duties. The handling, picking, and stocking of hazardous itemssuch as fluids, including Cidex, may be handled by employees.

·Appropriate safety precautions to be utilized beforehandling any hazardous/dirty things. In this position, the employee may work inlocations exposed and affected by weather elements, including rain, hail, snow,heat, humidity, and wind; fluctuating noise levels; dust; vibrations, and onoccasion, wet/slippery areas

Requirements

Education &EXPERIENCE:

·Must be able to read and write English and havebasic mathematical skills. Preferred: HS Diploma/GED

·Entry level experience performing stores(retail) and inventory work; AND

·Training or experience providing knowledge ofinventory control systems, and transportation agencies and shipping methods(Amazon Purchasing).

·Conflict resolution skills and the ability todemonstrate effective time management.

·Must be able to maintain compliance withorganizational guidelines and policies.

·Valid driver’s license with an acceptabledriving history.
