Electrical Designer / Engineer Job Description:

Provide comprehensive electrical design support forprojects related to pipeline facilities (measurement and regulation stations,compressor stations, LNG plants, pipelines, etc.)

Electrical Designer / Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

·Preparesdetailed functional and physical design drawings of electrical equipment andrelated facilities in accordance with accepted design practices and standards.This includes technical area plans, wiring schematics and layout diagrams forpower and controls projects.

·Selectsmaterials and prepares material lists based on standards, specifications,operation requirements and engineers’ direction.

·Assemblesand reviews project drawings for accuracy, completeness, content and compliancewith accepted drawing standards and format.

·Revisesdrawings in accordance with checking feedback and other requirements.

·Participatesin design conferences and makes field trips to determine project power, controland grounding needs and functional requirements. Meets with engineers and fieldoperational teams to help determine project design scope.

·Reportsstatus of designs to project engineer and project manager

·Participatesin task forces, conference, and training sessions to streamline or re-engineerinternal/external processes as required.

·Performcalculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electricalsystem sizing, and equipment capacity.

·Ensuredesign drawings meet Company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements.

·AssistEngineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effectivesolutions.

Electrical Designer / Engineer Qualifications:

·Anassociate’s degree in engineering or a related field, a technical degree, orequivalent work experience.

·Three tofour years of related experience in gas pipeline engineering, operations orconstruction is preferred.

·A stronganalytical ability, good interpersonal and human relations skills

·Goodjudgment in problem solving and decision-making.

·Thoroughunderstanding of related drafting tools, procedures, and techniques

·Proficiencywith AutoCAD and Excel is required. Experience with Adobe/BlueBeam is a plus.

·Knowledge inengineering and operations related, codes, standards, and procedures, i.e.(DOT, FERC, OSHA, NNG, etc.)

·Strong oraland written communication skills

·Excellent PCskills, including familiarity with Windows environment and proficiency withMicrosoft Office applications.

·Ability towork with changing priorities and exacting deadlines.

·Ability tomake periodic field trips as required.

·Ability toprioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
