What do our Power Electronics Engineers Do?
Our Power Electronics Engineer will develop electrical products/systems/sub-systems as directed that meet product specifications. You would need to function as a team member for product development to achieving project deliverables. You will need to communicate technical information clearly by phone, email, and in-person.
You will need to design or direct others to design controls that will meet reliability, quality, cost, delivery, and safety goals with a low number of iterations and satisfy customers. We would need you to make data-driven decisions. You would create detailed test plans for technicians and verify their test data output.
We would need you to develop working experience interfacing with internal departments. You would function as a team member within Bitrode. You would also perform issue resolution for testing and customer service.
What makes you qualified for this role?
You would need to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. We would need you to have 5 years of electrical engineering design experience. You would also need experience with networked devices and various communication protocols and experience in troubleshooting embedded systems and power electronics.
We would like you to have Experience with analog and digital circuits used in Battery Charging, Electrical vehicles, Power Electronics, Electrical Motor Controls, or Generator Controls. You should have experience in using schematic and PCB development tools (Cadence/Allegro). We would prefer you have experience with embedded programming in C or C , FPGA development/programming, and wired or wireless communicating technologies (CAN, MODBUS, LoRa, Ethernet, SPI, I2C). We would also like you to have experience in EMC design and testing, working with Agency approvals of electronic products and knowledge of design for manufacturability.
