GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing our IT team, implementing IT strategies, and ensuring that our technology systems meet the needs of the organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various departments to drive IT performance and support operational excellence.
CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
2. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the security and efficiency of our technology systems.
3. Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all hardware, software, and networking systems.
4. Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
6. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for technology investments that will improve efficiency and productivity.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT systems and data security.
8. Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiating pricing and service agreements.
9. Develop and manage the IT budget, tracking expenses and ensuring that spending aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. 10 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading successful IT teams and projects.
3. Strong technical skills across a range of IT disciplines, including networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and software development.
4. Experience with cloud computing platforms, virtualization technologies, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential.
7. Proven ability to develop and implement IT strategies that support organizational goals and objectives.
8. Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, PMP) are a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner. Sit or stand for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Tolerate various and changing weather, including excessive heat and cold. Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents.
