Job Purpose: The Shop Foreman will manage and fabricate orders correctly and on-time through ISO standards by leading and developing a high performing, efficient team while maintaining an organized and safe rigging shop and warehouse. The shop foreman is a “hands-on” working foreman performing all production, inspection and testing duties while managing the team and production schedule for timely and accurate completion of all orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for fabrication, testing, and repair of lifting slings and an assorted type of assemblies made from wire rope and chain in a high paced production environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper and on-time fulfillment of all orders.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards as guided through the ISO process.
  • Ensure inventory is monitored and documented correctly when received and used. 
  • Responsible for the organization of the shop and warehouse, workspaces, hardware, and raw materials.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure a consistent and effective workflow and execution of orders delivered accurate and on-time to the customer. 
  • Be knowledgeable about and abide by all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace and report any incidents.
  • Ensure all required testing of products are completed and documented accurately.
  • Endeavor to grow personally and professionally by participating in industry and sales related seminars, workshops, and trainings.
  • To provide suggestions to management regarding improvements and increased efficiencies in overall operations. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three years of experience in industrial shop or manufacturing experience- rigging/manufacturing of wire ropes highly preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Forklift experience a plus, you will be certified to operate our equipment
  • Acceptable background and driving record required.
  • Math aptitude. Must be able to take correct measurements and calculate basic math.
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with machinery and tools with precision and accuracy. 
  • Must be able to withstand physical requirements, such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test/physical and background check.
