BIS is looking for an amazingly talented IT Manager to join our crazy team which supports the world’s best local government hardware and software. This position will be focused on supporting extraordinary taxpayer-facing products for our clients throughout the nation. You must possess a solid technological background to provide oversight and guidance to team members and facilitate technological decisions.

Problem-solving: IT Managers often must interpret a problem and determine the best way to resolve it. This requires the use of critical thinking, as the IT Manager, you may need additional information that isn’t provided to satisfy the customer or employee.

Communication: Communicating with clients, supervisors, and the team helps everyone to understand the problem and potential solutions. Clearly stating the situation, following through with emails and phone calls, and sharing resolutions will make the process flow smoothly.

Responsibilities for IT Manager:

  • Establish and maintain standardized IT service management processes and procedures in accordance with ITIL framework to ensure efficient and organized delivery of IT services across the organization
  • Manage the IT team and provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Oversee IT service desk operations, ensuring efficient resolution of user issues within defined SLAs
  • Implement new systems and applications on time and within budget while providing comprehensive training
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities through cloud migration, vendor negotiations, and strategic outsourcing
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with data regulation
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand requirements and align IT roadmap with strategic goals
  • Manage IT projects, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Hiring and Firing team members
  • Ability to insert witty Memes and GIFS in internal conversations.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7 years of experience in IT management, with a strong technical background
  • Proven track record in leading IT teams and implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data privacy regulations, and IT governance best practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience in managing IT budgets and negotiating vendor contracts
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
