Birddogs is Hiring a birddogs Store Manager – Westport, CT Near Westport, CT

birddogs, one of the fastest growing men’s apparel brands of today, is known for their pants and shorts with a built-in liner to provide the ultimate comfort no matter what you’re doing. We are looking for the drive, leadership, entrepreneurial spirit that is at the core of birddogs as we expand the core management team at our Westport location. Our birddogs Store Manager will lead them team of talent and commit to bold objectives as we deliver our customers with an unforgettable and best-in-class shopping experience.

As a leader at birddogs, you are brand-obsessed and seek experimentation and innovation to learn firsthand how our product performs. This enthusiasm for our brand, product, and values inspires your team to ensure the highest level of engagement, which in turn elevates the customer experience. You are responsible for building capabilities within your team to drive strategy and achieve results for the business. You are data and results driven and are responsible for the store’s overall performance including sales and profitability.

As a birddogs Store Manager, responsibilities include the below:

I. Sales

Top of the Line Customer Experience

  • Drives customer acquisition and retention through clienteling processes from maintaining up-to-date client information, requests, and product feedback, to providing the highest quality experience
  • Leads by example: use company tools and personal leadership skills to create a strong selling culture and store environment
  • Focuses on creating retail activations that engages customers and drives loyalty

Innovation, Outreach & Customer-Building

  • Develops/executes customer building strategies, planning events, and creating brand partnerships to boost business in order to meet sales goals
  • Plans & executes in-store events in partnership with the team
  • Develops and maintains presence within the community

Business and Financial Acumen

  • Analyzes key business metrics to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Utilizes business tools as well as personal insight to drive results
  • Accountable for store results

II. Operations

Product Lifecycle

  • Oversees all product/inventory management at your store, which includes receiving inventory, conducting cycle counts, and performing adjustments
  • Communicates inventory and assortment needs to HQ
  • Analyzes product reports to strategize based on sell-through rates and best-sellers

Oversees Operational Excellence

  • Creates a disciplined culture that is focused on operational excellence
  • Ensures timely execution of company directives & initiatives
  • Utilizes available resources consistently and effectively

Process Optimization

  • Improving on and building operational systems that will be the potential blueprint for all future birddogs stores nationwide

III. People

Develop and Train an Engaged Team of Leaders

  • Champions floor leadership and exceptional guest experience by demonstrating from the floor each day and embodying servant leadership
  • Oversees the entire employee experience from onboarding through offboarding (hiring, training, developing, performance management, and termination) with the guidance of your HQ manager
  • Leads the training and coaching of a high performing team in alignment with the birddogs Vision, Purpose, and Values to create a scalable workforce that sets birddogs up for growth
  • Trains the team to be product knowledge experts ensuring they are able to speak to the features and benefits of birddogs products
  • Drives and upholds our customer-first selling strategies & cultures.
  • Ensures opportunities for success are being addressed through timely touch bases and team meetings
  • Assesses strengths & developmental opportunities of team to then mentor and empower
  • Provides timely and actionable coaching & feedback.
  • Mentors team by teaching team members areas of the business to allow them the opportunity to be future leaders
  • Manages conflict through thoughtful communication and partnership.
  • Owns hours management and scheduling for your team with a deep commitment to the guest and employee experiences

Drive Vision and Purpose

  • Runs a profitable store by enrolling the entire team to meet and exceed store sales targets and KPI’s
  • Sets and communicates clear goals, and fosters a positive and rewarding store environment embodying our birddogs culture
  • Champions high standards that empowers others to excel within the store & company at large
  • Recognizes, highlights, and rewards individual & team performance.
  • Effectively communicates all company-wide updates in a thorough and timely manner to understand the business

IV. Visuals

Drive Visual Standards

  • Creates and maintains an engaging, neat and well-organized space to ensure seaml
  • ess merchandise flow
  • Represents and reinforces the brand in a positive manner through strong visual presentation
  • Partners with the team daily to ensure the floor is fully restocked based on sell-through.
  • Works in tandem with the Visual Team to maximize real estate, driving sales growth
  • Manages window and marketing updates
  • Manages weekly walkthroughs to ensure updates are made to keep store fresh and engaging

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leadership and team development
  • 3 years of leadership and retail management experience or equivalent consumer facing experience
  • Dynamic leadership skills with the ability to recruit, hire, train, lead, motivate, retain and develop future leaders
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and continuously evolving to achieve great results
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • A positive attitude and an upbeat personality
  • The ability to utilize technology effectively and a proven ability to set a clear vision, align your team around common goals and foster commitment to these objectives
  • Ability and desire to build a collaborative, highly motivated, team
  • Proactive and experienced with networking
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • Proficient in Shopify, Point of Sale system(s), inventory management systems, labor scheduling, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
