Currently hiring a 6th/7th grade special education teacher to work with students near Chicago Ridge, IL.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
- Experience with co-teaching, providing reading and math interventions, progress monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and parents
- Provides responsive, rigorous and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful
- Participates in collaborative curriculum design
- Creates a positive classroom environment
- Exhibits flexibility, initiative and creativity
- Possesses strong classroom management skills
- Uses student learning data to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and design IEP goals
- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ensures that each student's goals and objectives are addressed; maintains and updates special education records for accuracy and compliance.
- She/he will collaborate with administration, general education teachers and related service providers
- Other duties as assigned
