We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our team. As a High School Teacher, you will be responsible for educating and inspiring students in various subjects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards

  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
  • Teach various subjects, such as Linguistics, Creative Writing, and Chicago Manual Style
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning and understanding
  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the subject matter, including Linguistics, Creative Writing, and Chicago Manual Style
  • Proficient in education administration and higher education teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
  • Skilled in proofreading and providing constructive feedback on student work
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students to reach their full potential

Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • You possess or are eligible for NJ certification in Teacher of English
