The ideal candidate will reside within the California Central Valley/Las Vegas area.
TheAccountManagerisresponsibleformaintainingandgrowingtheMicrobiology,Immunoassay,MolecularandVisionSuitecustomerbase.Thisrolewillfocusoncreatingnewbusinessopportunitiesthroughtheplacementofinstruments, reagents and services leading to increased revenues for the company within a designated Region.The Account Manager is directly responsible for achieving the territory sales goals and maintaining existingcustomers within their assigned territory in order to sustainably achieve high performance in terms of customersatisfaction, revenue, and profitability. The Account Manager acts as the direct contact to the customer and isaccountable as the point person for all communication both internally and externally.
The estimated salary range for this role based in California is between $ 91,000 and $ 133,000 annually. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer. 
Primary Duties:
BusinessDevelopmentandExecution:
  • Createandexecutebusinessplantoachieveorexceedterritorygrowthper companyplananddrivenewbusiness revenue through selling new instruments and reagents:
  • Developstrategyandindividualresponsibilitiestoclosesalesofall highvaluetargets.
  • Maintainexistingcustomerbusinesstominimizelostbusiness.
  • ManagepipelinetoensuretimingofclosesmatchesMonthlyForecast&QuarterlyBusinessPlan.
  • Coordinateactivityofotherfieldsalespersonnelincontextofbusinessplan.
  • Monitormonthlysalesasreportedin Tableauforaccuracyandadjustactionplanstoaccountforshortagestowards goal achievement.
  • DelivereffectiveSalesCallManagement,OpportunityManagement,PipelineManagementandForecastAccuracy
ProductandTechnicalSales:
  • Providetechnicalexpertise/assistanceinproductlineasrequiredinsalesprocess.
  • Supportand/ordeliverkeysalespresentations/demonstrationswhererequired.
  • Communicatewithcustomersonproductlinetechnicalissueswhererequired.
  • Workcollaborativelyinamatrixenvironmentwith RegionalandUSProductSpecialistsforallproductfranchisesincluding Microbiology, Molecular, Immunoassay and Vision Suite.
  • LeveragetimelyandeffectiveengagementofProductSpecialists,Service,Marketingandotherinternalpersonnel to progress, advance and close Opportunities within Region.
RelationshipManagement
  • Developrelationshipswithkeycustomers/opinionleaderswithindefinedterritory.
  • Identifyanddevelopkeyopinionleaders/referencesiteswithindefinedregion.
  • Establishrelationshipswiththeseidentifiedopinionleaders/referenceaccounts.
  • Leveragerelationshipstoexpandexistingbusinesswithindefinedregion.
  • Channelcompetitiveinformationgatheredinfieldtomarketingandsalesteams.
  • Implementandparticipateinpilotprojectswithnewproductlaunches.
AdministrativeResponsibilities:
  • ConductquarterlybusinessreviewswiththeProductSpecialistsandothersupportingsalesassociates.
  • Submitexpensereportsonaweeklybasis.
  • Maintaincustomerrecords inCRMonadailybasisforallaccountsintheirdatabase.
  • Closeallappointmentswithnotesandupdatemilestonesonadailybasis.
  • AchieveminimumforecastaccuracyforUSdollarsonamonthlybasisperformanceexpectations.
  • Performotherdutiesasassigned.
  • Performallworkincompliancewithcompanypolicyandwithintheguidelinesof bioMérieuxQualitySystem.
Training and Education:
  • Associatesdegreeandaminimumof5years ofprofessional sales experiencerequired;Bachelor’sdegree anda minimum of3yearsofprofessional salesexperiencepreferred
Experience:
  • CapitalandReagentsalesexperiencewithinclinicallaboratorypreferred
  • ProvenanddocumentedtrackrecordinexceedingterritoryCapitalandReagent goals
  • Provenanddocumentedtrackrecordofconsistenttopfinisheswithinsalesteam
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledgeofclinicallaboperationspreferred,notrequired.
  • WorkinamatrixenvironmentwithAccountManagers,Region SalesDirectors,ProductSpecialistsandother bioMérieux colleagues. Collaborate and coordinate in order to close business system wide.
  • Abilitytodescribeandexplainhighlydetailedtechnicalinformationtomultiplebuyinginfluencesincluding laboratorians, C-Suite, physicians, stewardship teams, IT, and other buyers
  • ProficientinoperationofMicrosoftWindowsandOfficeSuiteofproducts
  • Formalsalescompetencytrainingcoursespreferred(i.e.MillerHeiman,StrategicSelling,BASE)
  • Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.Abilitytoclearlycommunicatewithkeyinternalandexternalstakeholders.
  • Excellentpresentationskills.Adeptatusingmulti-mediapresentationtools.
  • ProficientinCRMSalesforcepreferred
  • Excellentselling,organization,communication,andpresentationskillsrequired.
  • Teamplayerattitude:abilitytobuildconsensusamongteammembers/collaboratewithotherteammembers
